{Jenn Robirds Events} Nadine + Robert

Whenever we get to work with acclaimed Adventure Wedding photographer Charleton Churchill (can you say Mt. Everest?) its a good day.

When clients Nadine and Rob came into our office, Nadine brought a Pinterest board fit for a ballroom and Rob brought an "anything you want, babe" attitude.

The venue the couple had selected was Helwig Winery. Helwig is an incredible venue, but the reception pavilion fits the description of "rustic-industrial" and not necessarily "ballroom-chic." So we created a design that had all the glam Nadine wanted, but looked appropriate for the gorgeous winery setting.

Some of the "glam" details we put together were the lace La Tavola Creation Linens on king's table's and rounds. To add height, we had tall blush floral arrangements on the round tables and floating candles in tall footed holders down the conjoined king's tables. Beaded gold chargers and gold flatware from Celebrations Party Rentals also lended a sophisticated edge. Ivory chiffon draping on specific beams highlighted the huge head table where Nadine and Rob dined with their friends and family on a 4 course meal from Taste Restaurant. The draping also enclosed the space and made the affair feel more intimate and romantic. It was breezy on Nadine and Rob's wedding day and the panels fluttered in the breeze adding that magical edge that brings up happy memories. Calligraphy details (quite literally placed everywhere) created by Ashley Baumgartner added a sophisticated flair. Letterpress round menus by JRE Paperie (yes we offer stationery) we're the epitome of luxury and effectively grounded the place settings.

For our rustic nod, the ceremony was held under a custom wrought iron arbor made by the groom's family. At the reception, guests sat at cross back chairs and grape vine chandeliers were hung at varying heights along the sprawling head table.

Some of our favorite moments of the day were an incredible Native American blessing during the ceremony, cocktails in the romantic wine cave during cocktail hour, and the sweetest first dance pulled together by Mike Regan of Mr. DJ. The couple is truly the perfect Brady Bunch, combining their gorgeous families into one. Jenn's favorite moment of the night was when she was standing next to Rob's daughter as she watched the first dance. As she watched her new parents sway on the dance floor, she said aloud in the softest, sweetest voice "she's so beautiful, I want to be like her" of her new mom.

Thank you Rob and Nadine for allowing us to bring your vision to life while highlighting your beautiful venue.

Need help making your vision cohesive with your venue? We're here when you're ready!
